Really excited to discover that @wireduk have written about our Sonic Journeys project . You can read their article here and my blog post about the project here. Theres even rumours the piece may appear on a future Wired podcast – but I guess you’ll have to watch this space!
I’m a subscriber to @WiredUK – its a great little magazine and well worth every penny I spend on it. If you haven’t checked it out and your interested in culture, technology, future thinking and some great ideas its well worth checking out!
I had a sneaky listen to a first version of the track (by Shackleton and Vengeance Tenfold) to be listened to on the Tarka Line. It sounds great through my stereo in my lounge – but even then something is missing…and that something is listening to the track in situ whilst travelling on a train North to Barnstaple. If this early version is going to be anything to go by its going to be a very special experience – or as one of the listeners put it upon first hearing the track ‘****ing hell – [its] extraordinary’
This project couldn’t and wouldn’t have happened without the drive, enthusiasm, vision and energy of Maija Handover of Sound UK. Needed to get that off my chest before saying to find out more – and to make sure you are one of the first to get to download the track make sure you sign up for the e mail updates at http://www.sonicjourneys.co.uk/
By the way you can read the official press release about the event here
