Olympic Essex

Just had this in about Olympic Cultural Plans for Essex. Information sessions throughout the county but no session yet for Colchester and the Tendering date is tbc

Essex is of course hosting the mountain bike sessions. The East’s Artist Taking the Lead commission ( the major commissioning programme for the Cultural Olympiad) is On Landguard Point – by Robert Paciti. I was lucky enough to be part of the selection panel for Roberts work and you can read my blog posts about the selection process here and here and finally here

Anyway here is the announcement from Essex CC

Would you like to find out what Essex is doing to mark the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games?

Would you like to get involved in celebrating the London 2012 Games in Essex?

Have you got an idea for an arts project but don’t know where to get funding?

If the answer to these questions is YES then you are warmly welcome to attend one of the Big 2012 Event Information sessions that are being run across the county during January and February 2011 – see below for details of your nearest venue.
