At last – we’ve finally announced the dates and the artists for the next P&C (that’s Phrased and Confused, not Pork &Chicken) tour kicking off in May 2009. I’m personally really excited by the line up. Musically its headed up by Woodpigeon whose second album is getting gushing reviews simply everywhere. ‘It’s bloody marvellous’ said the Sunday Times – whilst the Guardian were a bit more right on with ‘an inspiring meditation on exile and return’. All in all though there blessed out orchestral pop with haunting lyrics are just right for the tour. On the spoken word step up to the plate Murray Lachlan Young – the man who is guilty of charged of being at the forefront of the ‘poetry is the new rock n roll’ wave when he signed a £1m deal with EMI. He’s the best since Betjamin muses Brit award winner Neil Tennant. Then theres Aoife Manix and Janie Armour reviving their partnership which won audiences at Summer Sundae. And if that wasn’t enough we’ve managed to squeeze in (with their impeccable flows – or at least that’s what Stephen Merchant said) Mark n Mixy.
We’re touring to Bracknell, London, Norwich, Stockton, Derby and Exeter. Do come – but book early…Woodpigeon gigs seem to have a habit of selling out… fast
